Franciscan St. Margaret Health recently honored Mr. Bill Preston for his 20th Anniversary as a State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Volunteer Counselor.
Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Hammond was the first SHIP Site in the State of Indiana and Mr. Preston was one of the first SHIP Counselors at Franciscan St. Margaret Health.
During his years as a SHIP Counselor, Bill has assisted thousands of people in answering questions about Medicare, supplemental insurance, long term care insurance and prescription coverage.
Bill was also recently honored by the Indiana Department of Insurance at a luncheon where he received his 20 Year Appreciation Award and also the True Blue Award, which is a service excellence award.
SHIP Counselors are committed volunteers who offer you FREE and objective assistance in complete confidence. They can answer questions about Medicare, Medicare supplemental insurance; Medicare managed care plans, Medicaid, long term care financing options and prescription coverage.
Franciscan St. Margaret Health has a SHIP site at both the Hammond and Dyer location.
