October 8, 2012: Approximately 750 students from Northwest Indiana Catholic elementary schools joined the Most Rev. Dale Melczek, bishop of the Gary Catholic Diocese, and representatives of Franciscan Alliance and Franciscan St. Margaret Health – Dyer, in an annual Celebration of Life program, as part of national Respect Life Week, Oct. 7 to 13. The group prayed, sang songs, heard inspirational words and later erected crosses to represent the approximately 4,000 fetuses that are aborted daily in the nation.
