Many of us will be getting children ready for school with book bags filled with school supplies. Some children in our community will go to school empty handed, their families unable to afford even the basics. If you are able, please remember these children and bring in a donation.
Suggested items include: book bags, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, washable markers, erasers, school glue, spiral notebooks, folders, calculators, school boxes, kleenex, paper towels, highlighters, red pens, three-ring binders, index cards, colored pencils, paper, scissors, dry erase marker and eraser.
Any other items you can think of, including cash donations, will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
Items can be dropped off by Friday, August 9, at the Franciscan St. Anthony Health – Michigan City cashier’s office, located on the first floor of the hospital, 301 West Homer Street, Michigan City.
Let’s help these children start the new year ready to learn. GOD BLESS YOU!
